RSFAT has attended an UAV’2017 Workshop on "UAV & SAR: using drones in rescue operations", organised and hosted by CNVVF (Italian National Fire Service) in Rome on the 29th of March 2017, presenting there an article related to RFSAT work on photogrammetric 3D modelling, common to its focus of activity in the SCAN4RECO project.

The common technology used was photogrammetric 3D modelling, with primary focus on structures and secondary on statues and figures. A high performance and accurate 3D modelling techniques presented by RFSAT were well received, showing significant advantage to other presented approaches both in terms of speed as well as the accuracy. The opportunities for technologies being developed in the SCAN4RECO project were discussed for making impact also in crisis management area.
